This year we are adding a little friendly competition to the Member-Get-a-Member (MGAM) program with the Section Member Drive (SMD). Each ASCE Section will try to refer the most new ASCE members in order to win some great prizes and bragging rights. This page provides you and your team with key program details, valuable resources to be successful in your referral efforts and the ability to monitor your current ranking.

Program Rules

This contest is open to ALL ASCE Sections and their members who are in good standing. ASCE Employees and members of their immediate families and household are NOT eligible.
New/reinstated members are officially credited to the recruiter’s section when ASCE Society dues are paid by the person referred.
All applications and dues payments must be received between January 1, 2020 – December 31, 2020.
Awards: 1st Place - $1,000; 2nd Place - $750; 3rd Place - $500. The awards will be disseminated to the winning sections by February 1, 2021.
The winners will be the top three sections with the largest number of joins to ASCE. Students and partners are not included.
For each Society dues paid applicant, the domestic recruiter’s section will receive one credit for a successful referral.
The recruitment of Student Members is not included in this contest.
Students may recruit professional members.
Reinstated members must have been away from membership for three or more years.
The contest rules and prizes are subject to change by the ASCE staff. By entering the contest, members agree that ASCE’s decisions are final and not open to challenge.
To be eligible, referrals must be received prior to or at the time the new member application is received.
